Another limited outing for this latest buzz band on the block before their debut album lands. Not gonna rant on about this teaser twelve much as we’ve already described their sound which falls somewhere in a motorik House Of Love territory with a spot of Appliance. They rely a lot on minor chord changes and implicit guitar textures. About a third of the way in the track breaks down into a gentle interlude of ragged dinky bliss before exploding into an epic finale where the “pummeling” bass comes more to the foreground and the drummer gets a bit moist whilst pounding his drums like a proper rock god.

They’re looking like one of the years better propositions so let’s see what indie-dance god Weatherall does to them on the flip...oh, he’s laid out one of of those strange clickety electronic sounds and made an atmospheric pulsating plodding epic yawn-fest out of it. It has a nice bassline and some sort of weird processed guitar drone that comes in and wanks off everywhere before this pretty but dull minimal riff takes centre stage. Not as good as his Wooden Shjips remix but then again he wasn’t doing that one purely for the cash I reckon.
