This is the work of Adrian Flannagan (Kings Have Long Arms), actress Maxine Peake (‘Shameless’ / ‘Silk’) and Dean Hohner (I Monster) and is quite the curio. Essentially what is on offer are high quality early style electronics, think BBC Radiophonic, early tape and library music sorta vibes. Then Maxine narrates tales centred around the infamous Pendle Witches of Lancashire and associated stories.

It’s pretty crazy to think that women were executed around 400 years ago for being witches. What’s so bad about turning people into frogs, wearing a pointy hat and flying about on a broom stick? In all seriousness though this makes for an interesting listen, coming from the Finders Keepers axis who to their credit are keeping these important historical tales alive in homage to the “Ledgendary Lancastrian Sisterhood’ whilst also making some really good music!
