What you have here is a really strong album of neoclassical-sounding ambience with electronics and field recordings layered up to make beautifully rich pieces of music. The aquatic sound of ‘Castiglione Della Pescaia, Winter 2011’ is totally doing it for me right now. The waves crashing over the gorgeous electronic sounds are breathtaking. There’s an angelic vibe running through with the occasional choral sounding vocals which make it all a bit heavenly at times. It’s not a drone album. It’s a beautiful mix of electronics and neoclassicism creating textured ambient soundscapes which sounds effortlessly made (quite a talent) and all the sounds sound natural and organic. Excellent!
