Amazing. Truly amazing. What we have is loads of random cut up samples from World War Two thrown over a Death in Vegas-style cinematic rock/dance/post-rock hybrid, the gung ho dynamics recalling 65daysofstatic, a band who are also unfathomably popular. There’s a certain stirring of emotion that could occur when these ancient broadcasts are matched with the straining ‘90s James Bondisms of some of the music but my question of who on earth this will appeal to is answered by the facts. A lot of people, obviously.

"Who will this appeal to?" is the question asked - well, anyone with an ear for new and challenging music, that's who! The use of electronics/ guitar / even banjo is so well crafted and the samples are expertly placed. This sits together so well and feels special. Every single track enters the consciousness - this is Record The Year so far for me. There are bits of Mogwai, bits of dance but overall invest a bit of time in this and you will be won over. A great single.
