This band The Stalking Horses are from Leeds, like us, and have played in other bands like This Et Al, Grammatics and These Monsters, so it’s fair to say they’re plenty experienced. On this record, though, they’re doing some epic wet indie pop that sounds like Muse with all the pointy edges sanded down. Not exactly my bag, but if you’re into the likes of Alt-J (also not my bag), Wild Beasts and the rest of the falsetto indie crowd then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy this. It’s very polished, I’ll give it that. Gorgeous artwork from the ever-dependable Drew Millward too.
