This Halo Halo single has some weird skeletal post-punk business with a girl singing and some tasteful minimal Afro-style lead guitar lines. It’s kind of like how I’d imagine a Delta 5 acoustic performance to sound. Flip it and you’ve got a song called ‘Sunshine Kim’ which sadly isn’t about our Kim and keeps the focus on percussion, spindly Afro-inflected guitar and post-punky vocals for another wonky but danceable little number. Both dead likeable tracks, actually, made catchier by their simplicity and housed on marbled wax with the sleeve design printed onto acetate so it looks a bit weird too.
