Following on from the sold out Money 7" on Manchester's hip and most possibly suave Sways label is a single by The Louche FC called 'Romantic'. This will ring bells with anyone who has bought their loved one chocolates or has surprised them with sweeping gestures (I got brownie points yesterday for buying my missus a pizza slice...it all helps).

Anyway this 7" encompasses lots of classic indie bands like The Smiths, Kitchens of Distinction, The Sundays and more that are almost popping into my mind and then disappearing before I can remember them. God damn my ailing memory! The A side is a decent tune with lots of Sonic Youth-esque guitars layered over some classic British-sounding indie. Kyoko's vocals are kinda Smithsy but I think it's more the melody is a Smithsy one. It's definitely the catchier of the two tracks on the single. The flipside is a reverby indie ballad (of sorts) with big pounding drums and dreamy vocals before walls of fuzzy guitars raunch the whole thing up. I ”think” I quite like this and it's certainly a decent debut.
