Weird little release this one. You already know you want it even though you already know you probably won’t listen to it more than a couple of times. As you’re bound to already have guessed, this record contains an entire side of experimental weirdness, with a load of minimal scrapings and metallic chunterings accompanied by Yoko Ono doing her best Damo Suzuki impression. Gordon chips in with the odd bit of whispery ethereal vocal backing partway through, and then it gradually gets more skronky and scrapey. Of course it’s an uncomfortable listen, you weren’t expecting a pop song were you?
