What the fuck is this? I genuinely can't tell if this band is trying to be annoying or not. They're doling out a brand of bouncy, brash indie pop with impossibly irritating yelpy vocals delivered with absolute full-throated confidence and conviction. What the fuck is this? I genuinely can't tell if this band is trying to be annoying or not. They're doling out a brand of bouncy, brash indie pop with impossibly irritating yelpy vocals delivered with absolute full-throated confidence and conviction. The tunes are actually dead catchy but the delivery is hyperactive, smug and frankly grating. The cod-lounge/swing vocals really do “take a bit of getting used to” [because they're horrible].

There's various bits of messing around with horrible sax tones and weird toytowny sections and the odd frantic burst of Melt Banana-esque noise that suggest to me that they're being annoying on purpose. Which I suppose is much better than just being annoying and I'd feel bad marking this down any further for something it's doing intentionally. It's basically a cross between APATT, World/Inferno Friendship Society, Bobby Conn and Mr Motivator on acid, but less likeable than that sounds. You'll really piss off your friends with this one.

Love every track.........Best thing to happen since the Beatles crossed the pond.......The Bastards are just as revolutionary now, as the Beatles were then.....
