These CDs on Tor Press are very hard to resist. Label maestro Jake Blanchard (brother to Blackest Rainbow bod Joe) is a designer and print enthusiast and so you can be assured that with every new release that comes in from these guys there'll be yet more tasty lino prints. The Yule Bringer CD that they put out recently had six of the things, each produced and initialled by a different artist to accompany one of the tracks on the CD. Jake must've been pleased, then, when it turned out that this Plurals CD was only going to have three tracks on it. Much less of a ballache when you've got half the artists to chase up, I'd imagine! This time round the excellent Tom J Newell and Ben Jones are the ones scratching the lino, and these three prints are all real treats.

Anyway, on to the three songs. Plurals are a “scattered collective of musicians performing freeform drone explorations”. I think you know what that means. Yeah, these songs are slow, throbbing, layered drones; all mystical and uneventful and much easier to listen to than they are to write about! Erm...do you like drones? Do you like handmade prints by talented designers? Do you have six-odd quid? Get involved.
