I'm coming straight into this record from the meticulously crafted insanity of the new Darth Vegas CD and to be honest it sounds pretty retarded. Seriously some of the silliest, dumbest, most nonsensical experimental music you'll hear all year, but also some of the most fun. Talibam! have teamed up with trombonist Sam Kulik, busting out their crazy improv weirdness to crack out a weird, disjointed rock opera about a kid called Franklin with a magic pillow who goes on some underwater adventures.

There's a comic book illustrated by James Clapham to help you follow the story but even with that to help you out it's fucking confusing and very, very silly. Musically it varies from skronky lounge weirdness to full-chunter demented gibbering. The Frogs-esque 'Squeeze My Nuts In The Barnyard' had everyone in the office chuckling, and the radio play style interludes are completely mental. In fact this whole package is mental. What is up with these people? Wrong'eads, the lot of 'em.
