7/10 Andrew Customer review, 11th August 2014
Jazzman have put out some cracking reissue 7's out, this isnt one of the best. Its a decent double header of percussion driven jazz funk with nice organ work doodling away over the rhythm section. Sounds a little like Money Mark in his Mo Wax Keyboard Repair days in its more laid back passages. The pick of the two is tracks is the B side, 'Suite' in my opinion. Halfway through it kicks into a higher gear and just has that bit more oomph.
The A side 'Sipote' is decent enough, tripping along nicely again upping the tempo slightly as it progresses. All in all a welcome addition to my collection, I think it just suffers against the company it keeps when compared with some of the absolute classics that it sits alongside in the Jazzman 7" series.
