7/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 22nd June 2015

Admiral Fallow wear their Scottishness on their sleeves with vocals sung in strong accents. They combine stomping folk with indie-rock in a way that is just far enough away from Mumford and Sons to be okay. They remind me of fellow Scots, Frightened Rabbit. "Squealing Pigs" is the best song on here by quite a margin and has a genuinely great chorus, enhanced by the boy-girl harmonies.

Boy-girl harmonies a well used on "Four Bulbs" too. "Delivered" is another stand-out but differs from the rousing sing-a-long that is "Squealing Pigs", it's just guitar and vocal and very understated, quite beautiful. The slow-building "Bomb Through The Old Town" crescendos with a bit of feedback as is more noisy than anything else on the album. This is very good in places but as a whole doesn't get me that excited.
