This is the debut release on James Ruskin's esteemed Blueprint label from Irish producers Ian Mc Donnell and Dara Smith. They display their skills over four tracks. The first of which 'Bkro' is a slower tempo track steeped in crackle, a melodic loop and impending paranoia/ euphoria. A great one to build up a set or break things up mid-way. 'Ed' is on a slightly housier tip recalling prime early Anthony “Shake” Shakir gear. It evolves nicely with a keen sense of what works on the dancefloor. 'Arc' heads into spookier, darker terrain with ethereal ghostly synths that would fit into a heavier electronica session. 'Evening Lemon' has some off kilter melodies wrapped around a mid-paced drum rhythm and in parts recalls Carl Craig perhaps. All in all a solid EP.
