In a bit of a change of pace AIDS Wolf guitarist, screen-printing guru and all round good dude Alexander Moskos hits us with a tape of his oddball solo compositions. This Canadian six-string lad has been possessing my mind with his fucked up take on the riffs of Arab On Radar for years now. I was well bummo'd when I heard they'd finally split!. Well, Moskos keeps moving and finds himself in excellent company with this debut release on Cameron Stallones's Sun Ark tapes. Here we're treated to seven twisted and tangled wig-outs that see Moskos messing about with his guitar, permeated occasionally by the odd vocal or found sound. His guitar work is like a perverse take on blues and folk traditions obscured by crass effects, predominantly chorus. The result is kinda like listening to Robert Fripp and Adrian Belew tune up before a King Crimson jam. A sparse, slightly confusing but otherwise enjoyable outing.
