Well, this is about as doomy as they come, as you might imagine from a band called Bong. If this wasn't slow music made by people who smoke a shitload of weed then you would be disappointed and want your money back, right? Weirdly enough, I'm almost certain I've seen these guys a couple of times in the incomparably squalid surroundings of the 120 Rats squat when that was briefly and grimily resurrected a couple of years ago, playing with now-departed Leeds grot-hounds Gruel, and also somewhere else (1in12? Common Place? Give me a break, I was hiiiiiigh). I'm pretty sure one of those times they had a sitar player and one time they didn't. How's that for versatility?
Anyway, in case you'd not figured it out by the fact that it's obvious, this is a doomy, bleak record full of punishingly slow riffing that makes Sleep look hyperactive. There's occasional incomprehensibly chanted vocals, but mostly this is just ploddingly slow weed riffing that'll take you into another zone, full of palm trees and scorpions and megalithic bongs that dispense the weed of the gods. Textbook stuff. Follow the smoke to the riff-filled land, etc.
