Ha, I like this band. They write weird and gnarly but perfectly accessible songs and then bury them in so much murky processing that it sounds almost womb-like in its muffled warmth, with tones not too far away from the likes of The Pink Noise or Teenage Panzerkorps in terms of their conscious manipulation of lo-fi techniques, but in terms of songwriting they remind me of a more demented Lungfish, with mystical bubbling melodies and weird ethereal riffs and buried synth drones. In fact, yes, it's fair to say that if you like Lungfish and Der TPk this will almost certainly stroke your grapes, but there's influences from all over the place if you listen closely enough, taking in folk and black metal and new romantic and shoegaze and goth influences and dirtying them up a little. It's a little bit like listening to a drone record while Cult of Youth play next-door...best played earth-rumblingly loud for total immersion.
