Second solo album from La Sera (of Vivian Girls fame) and it's choc full of vibrant summery pop tunes  that each last 3 minutes or less and have lots of fuzzy guitars on them.

On first listen none of the songs stick out at being particularly mind blowing but they all ooze a breezy charm. Its a lot less scuzzy that the Vivian Girls, a moderately slick pop sound with nods to Best Coast, Jane Wiedlin, Shop Assistants, Blondie, Kenickie, Phil Spector's girl groups. There are some lovely touches such as the criss crossing guitars at the end of 'Its Over Now' though 'I'm Alone' is a little on the twee side as it edges towards cloying Adult Net territory. The single 'Real Boy' is completely different from the rest of the album sounding like an old 50/60's hit with a real innocence to it but just being a little overly saccharine sweet to be really effective. Nice though, as is the rest of the album. Would sound even better if the bloody sun would come out.
