I've been looking forward to this release for some weeks now. Finally the day has come and I'll be able to get some sleep. It opens up in menacing style with chopper blade sounds swooshing around and weird possessed smothered vocals and a slightly distorted bass rumble and sweeping electronics. I could well imagine it soundtracking a slow motion scene from a war movie. Next Up Is 'Gunmen With Silencer' which has a vivid sense of paranoia lurking, what sounds like heavy clanking footsteps approaching before you come face to face with your assassinator. Meanwhile traditional eastern instruments play in the distance. The mighty Regis takes the helm for his version of 'Church Of All Images' starting off in John Carpenter mode... Oh erm no he isn't, it plays on 45! So anyway he gets things going with all sorts of industrial electronic sounds entering the spectrum before the big ole kick drum makes a booming entrance. This sort of big room, dark techno gets me far more exited than it should at my age, but holy shit it's Regis remixing Dominick Fernow and it's wicked! Highly recommended.
