This is a trio of Netherlands based people who have collaborated with the likes of Machinefabriek (haven't they all?) Peter Broderick (er....haven't they all?) Gareth Davis, Nils Frahm, Greg Haines and Danny Saul. What they produce is murky, morose sorrowful guitar textures overlaid with what sounds like clarinet. What differs them from the ambient crowd is the use of spoken word vocals which are only used in parts of the tracks so they build the atmosphere nicely but leave swathes of space for the instruments to do their thing which on the opener 'Stadich joust in Han' is very impressive as it builds slowly to a crescendo. The music seems to mirror the vast, flat Dutch landscape with lots of space and an airy feel to the textures. On the flip we get a similar sound, this time with a keyboard drone underneath simple Bark Psychosis/Talk Talk like guitar figures. The vocals are in Dutch but helpfully translated on the sleeve. In many ways I wish they hadn't and had just left it mysterious since I read the line ''You Stink of Weatherfish'. I think I might use that next time I'm in the mood for upsetting someone.

Weidse (klank-) landschappen, mistige geluidseenheden, traag-stromende-rivier-beelden. Daarbij een stuk poëzie in de Friese taal erdoorheen geweven.....On-Nederlands, maar tegelijkertijd weer zeer Nederlands. Een hele luisterervaring!

Vast (sound) landscapes, misty sound units, slow-flowing river images. In addition, a piece of poetry in the Frisian language woven through it ..... On-Dutch, yet again very Dutch. A whole listening experience!
