Jake Bugg is only 17. He started making music when he was 12 so (buuzzzz whiiirr maths...) it took him 5 years to get his debut single out. Now if he'd been making music since he was 5 and he'd released 5 records on the same day then that would be a coincidence. In the real world Jake is clearly influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan and Donovan as you can hear in this single. It's a lively singery songwritery affair steeped in blues music and he sounds a lot older than he is. You'd never guess listening to this he's only 17. Hot damn that's good going. It does stick in your head after a few listens (as it's all catchy like) and it's been well recorded and put together. Impressed! He played Glastonbury last year keeping the spirit of 1970 Glastonbury (24 years before he was born!) alive.
