I know nothing of this man [He's a ex-pro-skater who makes slow musics! - Mike]. I used to think I didn't trust people called Duane either but I'm sure that's me being utterly irrational. I know he's had a split out with the enigmatic Eleh but that's as far as my knowledge goes. On initial reflection this sounds very much like beautifully played electro-acoustic/avant-garde chamber music and it sounds pretty wonderful on the old headphones too so it does. Much less grating than much music done in this arch, improvised style, every component mingles 'n' merges quite harmoniously, underpinned with deep bass timbres and tonal responses. I don't know what that means, I must have eaten last month's Wire because the dapper “potential Paedo-Uncle” Atom TM was freaking me out whilst I sat on the john. Yes, I read the Wire whilst on the loo, it's too wordy and peculiar for the bus. I've lost the thread on the old DP review now haven't I? Well I'm positive a proper clued-up bod at The Wire will be able to educate you further, my job is solely to inform you that it's jolly good and you should buy it and I wish my front room carpet had the same design as the sleeve. Anyone remember when Mark E. Smith used to buy those awful jumpers from C&A?
