Had the escapements CD by this lad housed in my silver drinks coaster baglet a few years ago and recall cruising around the sun strewn mountains in Western Scotland 3 years ago to its rich, melodic strains and chilled Detroit-sms. That was freaking lush I tell thee. Hitting 2012 and Mr. Dundovski has opted to go further down the minutely refined intelligent “trance” route and before you gag in horror at thoughts of DJ Tiesto reptilianly seducing your sister with a bottle of unfeasibly expensive shampagne [sic] in his leather and chrome bachelor pad, worry not, this has huggins more in common with prime mid 90s ambient techno and the modern German emo-house (ha!) brigade. The grooves are hypnotic, engrossing and bursting with sensual rhythm and finesse. A typical twelve minute epic on here is one balmy cruise that you could soak in for seemingly hours. Everything sonically is perfectly in place and this is certainly a dreamy album infused with simple beauty and expansive melodic depth that will unite a room of serious melodic electronica lovers and post club-munters alike. No cheese here unless you're hankering after the very finest brie, you know, the soft French stuff that cannot be left alone for two minutes by anyone with a palette for the finer things in life. Beautiful from start to finish is 'Ideas from the Pond'
