Britrock's least hip chart-worrying indie popsters are back with a new single! I saw these guys a few times when I was about 14-16 and back then I thought they were amazing. Britrock's least hip chart-worrying indie popsters are back with a new single! I saw these guys a few times when I was about 14-16 and back then I thought they were amazing. Little did I know that they would pave the way for a decade of insipid and gutless indie pop bands like Snow Patrol and Razorlight, at the time it just seemed like a bit of fun. This new single is making me dead nostalgic to be honest, and while I feel it is expected of me I'm finding it hard to find a lot bad to say about it. I mean, they're peddling the same tones as ever, they've got the whoo-oo-oos and the Pumpkinsesque beefy guitars and a shamelessly cheesy chorus, but fuck being cynical about kids' music. You know if you like Feeder or not, and I don't feel like criticising them for being what they are, which is polished chart-friendly indie pop with a post-grungey rocky side. It's not something I'm gonna buy either but if you've grown out of it just move along and buy a Nils Frahm record or something.
