We've got some more CDs on the mysterious short-run Reverb Worship imprint, and I've been pretty impressed with the last few we got in from them so I'm pretty interested to hear what's going on with this one. There's tranquil keyboard drones and ethereal vocals and twinkly guitars, often with lots of delay. As far as I gather this was actually recorded some time back but only released in very limited quantities, and is now back for a run of 50 more. It fits right in with that whole spaced out submerged pop sound that pops up quite a lot nowadays so it doesn't sound at all dated, there's subtle little analogue squiggles and tweets in places and it's got quite a healing ambience about it that I'm enjoying. I would like to listen to this in the bath. Sometimes you can tell they've structured the songs, sometimes it all seems freer and jammier, but it's consistently blissed out and melodic and psychedelic. Definitely worth a listen. Also of interest; there's a track called 'Intangible Smurf'.

Sometime ago Carlton from Book Of Shadows suggested to me that it may be a cool idea to do a reissue of the 'Hanged Man' album.I was none the wiser, even though I collect the bands music.I just had not heard this album, in fact I had never seen a copy either.'Hanged Man' is a long, long gone cdr which originally appeared on Whirling Rainbow Records. It was sold many years ago in very small quantities on the Aural Innovations website. The album contains twelve superb mostly improvised tracks featuring Sharon, Carlton and Joel Crutcher, Aaron Bennack, George Gardinas, Lori Varga and Brian Wotring.I have to say that having listened to this album a number of times it has become one of my BOS favourites. The combination of Sharons lovely voice combined with spacey ambient soundscapes and skeletal guitar is a total joy.You could actually treat this is a 'new album' for the simple reason that hardly anyone has heard it before. This new version of the album has new artwork. This cd comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies with an insert.
