Don't know anything about Various Cruelties though I'm not entirely sure it matters. Don't know anything about Various Cruelties though I'm not entirely sure it matters. I'll take a guess from their radio-friendly contemporary indie-pop flavour that they are a young bunch of lads from London with their eyes on the now non-existent prize. 'Great Unknown' sounds very much like something Louis from Spectrals might write but it's performed as if he was in the Razorlight or something. Little bit odd but it's a generally heartfelt little pop number complete with all the usual production trimmings. Flip it and 'Chemicals' sounds even more Razorlight-esque but with a bit of Hootie And The Blowfish thrown in for some reason. Again, this one's a hit. They're both hits. Hits hits hits. Yes.
