8/10 Brian Staff review, 12 January 2012

I'm gonna start a skinhead punk band called Oi! Orbison doing caveman-esque guttural covers of Joy Orbison future rave hits. If you nick my idea I'm going to come round with all my braces-and-boots loving mates and kick your teeth in and steal your granny to work in our local WMC making proper strong tea and baking English biscuits, not your awful poncy Italian type biscuits. This is a collaboration with Boddika who isn't quite as popular as Jorbison but may well be afterwards. He does a more pounding, sparse take on electro-tech, this song 'Swims' seems slightly more indebted to his style than Jobby & Sons and has a blunted cowbell and hi-hat heavy sound with an infuriating vocal sample that burrows its way into your face like a 22 hole Doc Marten with extra segs nailed on. The flip seems much like the same song to me but with a more acid-y punch and a harder, tougher groove. Apparently this has been burning holes in club floors due to the amount of sweaty gurning twazzocks it encourages out of their ecstasy wizard thrones and the sample our Manchester chums Boomkat helpfully inform me is from a 1995 number by Tronco Traxx. No, me neither...
