6/10 Clinton Staff review, 02 March 2012
Phil described this as a star studded supergroup. I mean how can a record that features not only the guy from Tarentel but also some Barn Owl and Date Palms people be described as anything but? The first track opens with a kind of didgeridoo noise that sounds like its been created with the human voice. The second tune is a series of slowed down gongs. Phil says this reminds him of a Coil record 'How to Destroy Angels' which I, of course, have never heard. On the flip we get a singular drone created with what sounds like a hurdy gurdy. As the track wears on there's the distinct hum of other drones joining in. There's a joke somewhere about how many highly respected musicians it takes to create a one note drone. Its a very good drone though so I presume there's been lots of work in the planning department. Screen printed sleeve limited to 500 etc.
