8/10 Mike Staff review, 05 January 2012
On this three-way collaborative LP we've got a long track per side, each clocking in just under the 20-minute mark. What we've got on the first side is basically a slow-flowing passage of tonal analogue drone not a million miles away from the likes of Eleh, with a pulsing mid-end tone, a flatter, higher-pitched tone and intermittent background rumbles. Flip it and we've got more persistent rumbling in the background and more of an ominous, wavering tone over the top, but the style stays the same. Patient, warm, synthesized drones which slowly and calmly flood your consciousness. On this second piece they repeatedly fade out to silence and then back in at regular intervals, which gives more of a sense of the passage of time than the flatter waveforms of the first side, but if you're looking for something that'll switch your brain off then either side of this platter would be suitable.
