We like Mark Bradley's stuff here. He has a varied palette of interests musically and now I'm sat here with this twelve track tape treat from Japanese boutique cassette imprint Ginjoha! Opening with a rather sad and very pretty synth and vibraphone piece, 'Deliver Me' takes a dip into piano based melancholia laced with slightly apocalyptic spoken word ala Godspeed before plunging into an eerie thickly pulsating drone piece entwined with gorgeous spectral eastern instrumentation. Flipping over half-way (we never really get a chance to indulge in complete tapes as fully as we'd like!) I'm enveloped in more ominous drone-scapery spread generously with some incredibly unnerving divebombing and swooping horror-synths! This track, I know, will scare the shit out of some, it is well Event Horizon but kind of alluring too. One of the most intense pieces I've heard the man create, it leads onto more foreboding prose from the scary man. I'm finding myself in quite a Lynchian zone here, but not for long as my mind is suddenly taken elsewhere with a beautiful moist-eyed piano number which concludes the set! A great introduction to the Bradleyman.
