Moon Glyph hit us up with a few new releases this week. One that caught my ear is this Food Pyramid / Deep Earth split. Don't know much about either of the acts which makes them all the more promising. Food Pyramids' 'Kollider' kick things of with an epic synth swirls using primitive house beats and psychedelic guitars to anchor a pulsating arpeggio that dominates throughout. Kinda reminds me of a slightly less frantic Astral Social Club. Flip it and Deep Earth's 'Kontraband' feels like a band as opposed to a dance/production record. This is a sophisticated, laid back soundtrack style jam that shares as much in common with Jean Michel Jarre, Zombi and Jan Hammer as it does with early Fridge singles. Nice 7”.
