4/10 Mike Staff review, 21 December 2011

Well, it's that time of the week again and Jack Black's novelty label Third Man have delivered us another novelty single. This time we've got Edgar Oliver camply delivering a Hammer Horror/Tales From The Crypt style cod-Poe poem in which he fantasises about his own murder with a delivery so syrupy it borders on humorous, then on the B-side we have something recorded in “triple reverse crypto-phonica”, which probably means it's recorded both backwards and upside-down...it plays from the middle outwards and it's unintelligible but as an abstract piece I suppose it's quite creepy in its own way, but if you're into that sort of thing then you should be getting on the new Skull Defekts 12”. Another disposable piece of whimsy from the Third Man vaults. Thanks Jack.
