This actually surprised me. What I know about music (and what John Terry knows about bedroom etiquette) can probably be written on a very small piece of parchment. Nevertheless the fact that the new split single from Kid Canaveral/King Creosote has a very normal rock single type vibe going on threw me a bit of a curve ball. I thought (from looking at the sleeve) that this collaboration between these lads would be a sort of beat heavy, hip hop style affair...with mebbe reggae leanings. My preconceptions were roundly trounced when it turned out KC/KCs newie sounded like indie rock. It's not too bad, just a bit generic...and I reckon enlisting that small one from “The Krankies” for vocal duties could be something that might have to be addressed in future. This is a solid if unassuming single that is the 11th title in Fence's Secret Seven Series (try saying that after a Drambuie...).
