You may know Matt Bartram's name if you're a fan of his main squeeze - Air Formation, a band that make Shoegaze music like it's going out of fashion. Bartram is generally regarded as one of the finest musicians to embrace the second wave of Shoegaze and make it his own. Always keen to stay busy, Bartram is responsible for a number of side projects and solo outings with his work for Drifting Falling being one of his most high profile efforts outside of Air Formation. With his third album for Drifting Falling Bartram continues his mission of exploring the unknowns of experimental and ambient music. 'The Dreaming Invisible' is a dreamy piece of work constructed of blissful melodies and bucket-loads of reverb drenched synth and guitar pondering's. His efforts aren't an attempt at an arty deconstruction of the genre but an embrace of the formalised codes and themes that have made it such popular genre over the years. Thus this kinda sounds like early Mogwai with no drums. Very uplifting if a little predictable.
