This is another one of those records that comprises of a single drone, later joined by other drones and slight variations on that drone in order to create one big thick drone.  Looking at the sleeve notes it takes an awful lot of instruments to produce such a massive drone. The drone itself is particularly impressive with several different strands and variations in mood. Sometimes high pitched (4 violins and 4 violas are employed) sometimes cutting in with lower tones. The B side drone is particularly discordant, in contract to the A sides more soothing tones. It sounds like a gooses honk on repeat mode. Luckily after a little while it becomes less the ugly duckling and more the beautiful swan, joining its A side partner in being almost a blueprint on how to produce the perfect drone.
