9/10 Ant Staff review, 24 November 2011
Third outing on Sandwell District for this elusive producer and he's in full on explicit dancefloor slaying mode. 'Shepherd's Brine' kicks off with clean hi-hats and an almost phazing bassline with fast pulsating micro bleeps, then twists and turns with big floor friendly build ups and the olde hide and seek with the kick drum trick. Things get darker though when the grey gloomy synth sweeps by. 'Waterfall' is really the one for me though. Don't be fooled by the opening section, thinking your gonna get a quality variation on post-basic channel, oh no. It gets pretty intense and I can well imagine seeing people gurning their fucking faces off in the strobes and smoke. Actually it reminds me a bit of 'Elektra' by The Source (Robert Leiner) had it been created by Darth Vader in his Deathstar studio. Superb techno.
