This is a supergroup of sorts comprising of Elisa Ambrogio from Magik Markers and Ben Chasny from Six Organs. There being only two of them makes them more of a superduo than a supergroup I guess. This is a supergroup of sorts comprising of Elisa Ambrogio from Magik Markers and Ben Chasny from Six Organs. There being only two of them makes them more of a superduo than a supergroup I guess. Both artists have done noisy things and more chilled things in the past. This falls into the more chilled category with it being all mellow and that. Chasny plays some mean acoustic guitar whilst Ambrogio warbles sombrely. It's breathy and very delicate sounding with the vocals and guitar complementing each other well.  The bulk of the tracks are in this style with one or two of them having a more psych feel to them. It's not until 'Parting Ways' that a drum kicks in and the really discordant guitar takes over. That is the anomaly on the album as the rest of the album is gentle strummy pretty folk. Always a pleasure listening to Chasny's guitar though...I saw him live earlier in the year and every single person at the front watching had a beard. What does that tell you?
