I would advise you to look to the press release for a summation of what this project here is about, since this LP is technically the third in a trilogy from Xela. This one is full of dreamy synthetic tones, with warm drones counterpointed by analogue throbbing and grating. It's actually totally therapeutic stuff. With distant washed out mechanical chimes evoking heady opium den-like atmospheres. The pacing and melody is kind of like Deathprod, but this is a denser and less minimal brew than those prepared by Norway's finest. There's touches of Stars of the Lid, but, y'know, Stars of the Lid as interpreted by Robedoor or David Lynch or something. I like this a lot, it's like a moment of stillness amidst chaos. Pretty nice artwork by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, too!
