8/10 Dave Staff review, 10 November 2011

M+A are an Italian duo who make music in the vein of Postal Service, Panda Bear and mebbe even Tunng. They use delicate instrumentation and repetitive vocal loops to create a rich sound that is very nostalgic sounding, yet quite futuristic at the same time. Which makes about as much sense as a pig in a sock, but there you go. They craft delicate sounding acoustics with interesting electronics to great effect. This LP “Things.Yes”” is a really quite beautiful record, one that could warm hearts in these cold November days. I like their union of acoustic and electronic elements. It seems to really give the songs an emotional punch. The lyrics are also intriguing, and they seem to be in a made up dialect, a la Sigur Ros,which lends a veritable air or mystery to the proceedings. Which is no bad thing. My favourite tracks at the moment are the rousing “Sommer” which sounds like the best song Tunng never got round to writing, and the floaty majesty of “Yes.pop” which is also a haunting song. If you like these cuts you'll probably go a bit oriental (mental) for this LP, which is a strong well crafted slice of emotional pie. Lovely stuff...
