9/10 Brian Staff review, 29 September 2011

This Japanese dubstep practitioner has provided the label with some of it's finer moments and here he teams up with the Jamaican legend Max Romeo on the track 'Babylon Fall', a cerebral skanker with real vitality & depth. 'Falling Leaf' follows with some nice real subtle mid-range wobble (not the abdomen shattering numpty style BTW!!), a classic stepping rhythm and some ace sci-fi keys sounding like an exciting slice of future dubstep with a steady pace & some real feeling. 'Itinerant Priest' takes a slightly more sinister direction with a chunky, juddering & ominous low-end and ace snaky percussion. This is classic Deep Medi but with that oft absent crispness, progressive dynamism & depth so many other producers fail to even come near. The closer 'Sublimation' has a distinct Detroit vibe beneath it's propulsive dubstep mould with some thoroughly affecting synth action and mesmerising percussive layers. This is easily the most enjoyable & satisfying Medi for me since the debut V.I.V.E.K. double pack & the stunning DMZ 'Return II Space' triple!!
