Roy Moller is a singer-songwriter from Edinburgh now based in Glasgow who ply's his trade in a mutant psychedelic variation of the classic Americana sound, he's pretty darn good at it too. I've always found it rather strange how Scottish artists have such a fine knack for aping the sound of American music so accurately. Saying that, there are hints of 60's Carnaby Street psychedelia to found on tracks like 'Downstate Update'. Praised by the likes of John Peel as well as ex-bandmate and Belle And Sebastian regular Stevie Jackson, Roy Moller is clearly an impressive talent with a keen ear for melody and a mischievous lyric writing approach. 'Playing Songs No One's Listening To' is one for all you twee hipsters out there. Enjoy.
