Well, if you're thinking about buying a Fahey box set the odds are you already love Fahey. So really, it just comes down to getting all the Fahey you want at a good price. If so, go for it. If you've been listening to Fahey on Spotify or mp3 and you want to upgrade to the physical world, this is going to be as good value as you're likely to find. This is the first 6 Fahey excursions - Blind Joe Death; Death Chants, Breakdowns &c; Dance of Death &c; Great San Bernadino Birthday Party; Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death; Days Have Gone By - which is enough Grade A Fahey for most people for a lifetime, and at a pretty good price, too. And that, really is all you need to know.

What you don't get here is much in the way of extras - bonus tracks and all that jazz. To me, this is no problem. There are some great bonus tracks on the CD reissues, all of which you an listen to via Spotify, but the records here cover enough to keep me going the rest of the time. Good package, great music.
