This is the first release on this label which is a collaboration between Phil Todd's Memoirs Of An Aesthete label and the re-emergence of the Fencing Flatworm imprint. A previously unreleased album from 2001 eventually sees the light of day ten years down the line. Truant are the trio of Clough, Todd and Hayler who through bass, guitar and keyboard summon swirling trails of maximal psychedelic drone. 'Illusions Of Choice' in particular is a right old brain melter with its delicious synth pulses and electro tweets. 'Mollusca' sounds like R2-D2 having a seizure after too many disco biscuits and strobe light worship. Seventeen minutes of Todd getting busy on transportational strings over shimmering synthscapes make the pure electricity 'Animal Kingdom' which closes the set nicely as it gently retreats into a distant haze.
