Ok, so you got what's going on here. Golden Jooklo Age team up with office favourites Peaking Lights to jam it out on some sweet neo-psychedelic cuts. Recorded in 2008 at Black Dirt Studios whilst the two groups were on tour together this self titled freak fest of an LP documents a rare and, most likely, cherished moment between two like minded acts looking to reinvent psychedelia for the 21st century. These jams are wild cuz! The juxtaposition of G.J.A's chaotic style and Peaking Lights obsession with cheap Casio's, monochromatic (not my words) drones and dub bits make for an astral work out of epic proportions. Yes, it does sound like a free form improvisation with little to no preparation prior to its recording but it works and is a testament to the power of spontaneous music making and the future of blissed out pseudo jam bands. Split into three compositions over two sides of vinyl and packaged in classic psych style 'Golden Jooklo Age & Peaking Lights' is bound to impress both those familiar and unfamiliar with the groups involved. If you like all the Natural Snow Buildings type stuff you'll be made up with this bad boy. Got a bit of Sun Araw about it too, which is no bad thing.
