Emily And The Faves' self titled debut is a classic slice of mid '80s UK psych-pop littered with references to San Fran 60's folk rock and early REM. Emily has that easily recognisable 'down south' accent that at times verges on Kate Nash but for most part sounds like Miki Berenyi of Lush fame. These songs have a little indie rock quirk to them but as a rule it's psych-pop that guides Emily and her faves. Definitely a strong set of songs with a fairly unique atmosphere and a solid rhythm section to keep things ticking over nicely. These kids would kill at Indietracks.
