Permanent Collection is the solo moniker of Jason Hendardy who treats us to a five track EP of reverb-drenched shoegaze anthems. Utilizing hazy, lost in the ether guitars, soft synths, sluggish vocal mumblings and lashings of reverb washed drum machines Hendardy crafts a sound that is familiar yet pleasing to the ear. 'Delirium' sounds very much like a labour of love for the artist and is both aesthetically and stylistically right on the money. The American interpretation of what I consider to be a very British music has always sounded a bit odd to me but in this case Hendardy has done an excellent job of capturing the original spirit of dream pop whilst injecting a little of that bonged out Sun Araw vibe that is so apparent in the US underground of late. Kinda sits somewhere between the Sun Ark stuff and Slumberland's new signing Big Troubles if that makes any sense. Comes on green transparent vinyl and includes a digital download for your computer box.
