Two tunes from two San Francisco dream pop upstarts courtesy of the ever dependable La Station Radar (in association with Atelier Ciseaux). Melted Toys ring a bell from their Under Water People EP but I don't remember much about them. 'Rose Again' is a classic slice of shoegaze/dream pop that sounds very much like it was written by a UK band. Kinda odd hearing such English sounding pop come from an American underground band but they do it well so it's all good. Flip it and we're treated to 'Laughing The Whole Time' by Dominant Legs. Not heard these folks before but they feature members of Girls and Magic Bullets so that should raise the interest levels. Their track is on an almost Style Council tip! No bad thing mind as this one cruises along nicely on the back of a tight disco beat, lightly strummed funky guitars and an ambitious Haircut 100-esque pop vocal. Well Copacabana.
