I loved the first few mixes in the series, Youngsta, Kode 9, etc., but I must admit I've not really kept up with them. This monster mix is loaded with 25 tracks of bass ammunition. I loved the first few mixes in the series, Youngsta, Kode 9, etc., but I must admit I've not really kept up with them. This monster mix is loaded with 25 tracks of bass ammunition. I don't think anybody uses turntables anymore to do these mixes which is no big deal really but it's always thrilling listening to a proper DJ on the olde wheels of steel. Distance is a talent though both in the studio and in the DJ booth. His selection here is as heavyweight as you would expect with a whole load of dubs from himself and gear from his Chestplate label's catalogue as well as tracks from Commodo, Cyrus, J:Kenzo, The Others, District, Tunnidge, Truth, Benga, Benton, Kryptic Minds, V.I.V.E.K, etc. Pretty much all darker strains of the dubstep virus. Beginning mostly very percussive and spacious and then gradually getting more uptempo and techy. A well decent mix.
