These Twisted Treeline 3" CDrs are coming thick and fast, with this week's offering from Leonardo Rosado who also records as Subterminal. The title here probably gives the game away somewhat as to what the overall mood is here. Yeah, you guessed it's pretty somber. The short but no less sweet 'Study On Kindness' layers piano, bells and strings to create a moody, lonely sounding opener. Then follows 'Studies On Doubts And Misconceptions' which is very much an extension to the previous track, this time omitting the chime sounds in favour of what sounds like snippets of water recordings. 'Study On Fading Away' makes me think of sinking gently to the bottom of the ocean gracefully while lovely ambient strings and little bubbling sounds flutter away whilst submerging. 'Dream On' is the lighter of all the tracks, i.e. not as overtly dark or lonely sounding...although it's still in that realm it has some pretty delicate sounds slowly emerging.
