- La Piscine, An Invitation by Laetitia Sadier To Keep On Swimming… by Laetitia Sadier
8/10 Clinton Staff review, 14 October 2011
Laetitia Sadier is a French lady. The opening track here sounds just like her other band Stereolab which of course is absolutely no bad thing. Richard Swift (reviewed elsewhere) re-appears here with a track off his ace 'Walt Wolfman' album coming on all Motown/Northern soul-tastic. Swift and Sadier collaborate on the euro synth poppy 'Resistance dans L'ombre'. There are some other artists represented here too, the pick of which is Rebecca Gates who turns up with a beautiful track. Summery rolling acoustic guitars, beautiful vibraphone and flowing vocals. A little like a female take on Patrick Phelan. This track is utterly, utterly captivating. So you only really get one and a half Laetitia Sadier tracks but as a whole its all pretty decent and flows nicely.
